Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC

While in NC, we were able to meet up with Betsy and Grace Stovall at the Museum of Life and Science. We had such a fun day exploring the museum, playing outside and riding the train. Julian and Grace held hands as they walked around which was absolutely adorable. Grace loves to help look after Julian and make sure that he follows directions!

Pumpkin Patch and the Farm in NC

Julian and I visited NC for about a week. We were able to visit friends and family which was quite fun. Julian went to the pumpkin patch for a hayride and to explore the petting zoo, however, all of that was unavailable the day we were there.
Every time we go back to NC, Julian loves for his Papa to take him riding on any type of moving equipment and of course Papa came through. Click here to view the pics!

Julian's 2nd Birthday

This year we celebrated Julian's birthday in Tucson. It was also our friend Nolan's birthday, so we all celebrated together at Pump It Up. Many of Julian and Nolan's friends were able to attend the party which made it lots of fun!

Grand Canyon and Sedona

Our friend Traci is visiting us from NC and so we decided to go on a road trip. We headed north and made stops in Flagstaff and Sedona. It was a short trip, but not short of any thrills. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon and despite the tremendous wind, it was a fabulous day to enjoy the glorious sight. After the Grand Canyon, we moved south to Sedona, AZ. While in Sedona, we ventured out on the rocks by taking advantage of the Pink Jeep Tours. Enjoy the pictures!

I Swim!

Julian has an affinity for the water! He loves wearing his new swim belt in the pool. The swim belt is an interesting implement and swimming aid because as the swimmer gains confidence you remove the blocks from the belt gradually, without them noticing. Hopefully, by next summer Julian will be a more accomplished swimmer and will be belt free! But as for now, Julian is enjoying scooting around the pool. Enjoy the video!

So Cal is where my mind stays!

In late June, we headed over to San Diego with our good friends "the Melick's" for a long and relaxing weekend. This was the first time that we had been back to So Cal since we returned to Tucson in the winter of '08. We were able to savor wonderful dining, get in some shopping, enjoy water time via the beach and pool, and visit Sea World. The weather was absolutely perfect (70 degrees) and gave us all a much needed hiatus from the heat! Julian relished the time spent in the water and on the beach, but especially the time spent with Cole and Shane. We will definitely have to go back in the very near future!

Myrtle Beach, SC

While we were back East visiting friends and family, my Godmother Betsy invited us to go to Myrtle Beach. We had the best time swimming and playing in the sand! I loved playing with Grace. She is the best!

Annapolis, MD

We spent the weekend of Mama's graduation in Annapolis, Maryland. I was able to visit Dada's alma mater, the US Naval Academy for the first time. Our good friend's the Heinkens' were able to meet up with us for a day. I had lots of fun playing with Brianna and Isabelle! I now know why Mama and Dada love Annapolis so much.

Mama finally finished!

Mama finally finished her Master's degree in Kinesiology and graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park. Dada, Nana, Grammy and Granddaddy all made the trek up to College Park to watch her walk.

Papa...A Choo Chooooo!!!

I love riding our friend's John Deere Gator!

My new favorite thing in the world is riding the lawnmower, but I call it a "Choo Choo!" I get up every morning and run to Papa screaming "Choo Choo!" I absolutely love riding. Sometimes we will ride for hours, however, when the "choo choo" stops I am very unhappy!

Goin' To The Farm!

Today we visited a miniature horse farm located just outside Saguaro National Park. We had a lot of fun feeding the chickens and just looking at the other animals. Julian's friends loved petting the goats and miniature horses, but he did not! Julian loved sitting on the tractor. We hope you enjoy the pics!
